Description
Reloaders and hunters seeking exceptional terminal performance in .270 caliber rifles will find the Hornady 270 Cal .277 130 Gr SST Bullets an outstanding choice. These precision-engineered projectiles combine innovative design with proven ballistics to deliver rapid expansion and devastating energy transfer on impact.
Key Features
- Super Shock Tip (SST) Polymer Tip: The hard polymer tip initiates lightning-fast yet controlled expansion upon impact, driving into the lead core like a wedge for reliable performance at higher velocities.
- Secant Ogive and Boattail Design: This aerodynamic profile reduces drag, enhances stability, and promotes flat trajectories for improved long-range accuracy.
- Cannelure: A mid-body cannelure locks the core and jacket together while ensuring a consistent, secure crimp during reloading.
- High Ballistic Coefficient: Rated at .460 with a sectional density of .242, these bullets maintain velocity and resist wind drift effectively.
