Description
Engineered for precision and durability, the MSR Barrel 7.62x39mm 24-inch hammer forged chrome lined barrel delivers exceptional performance for custom AK and RPK platform builds. Designed specifically for 23mm (.906) trunnions, this premium component combines Bulgarian Arsenal craftsmanship with Steyr technology to provide reliable accuracy and extended service life in demanding tactical applications.
Key Features
- Hammer Forged Construction: Cold hammer forged from high-quality steel for superior strength, consistent bore dimensions, and resistance to wear under high-volume firing.
- Chrome Lined Bore: Protects against corrosion and fouling while maintaining tight tolerances for improved accuracy and easier cleaning.
- RPK-Style Design: 24-inch length with integrated port holes, optimized gas system compatibility, and 14×1 LH muzzle threading for suppressors or muzzle devices.
- 23mm Trunnion Fit: Precision-machined to match standard 23mm trunnions found on Russian and Bulgarian RPK variants.
Benefits for Builders and Shooters
This barrel addresses common pain points in AK builds, such as premature wear from steel-cased ammo and inconsistent accuracy from lower-quality components. The hammer-forged chrome-lined design extends barrel life significantly, reduces maintenance requirements, and supports reliable cycling in both semi-automatic and full-auto configurations. Its extended 24-inch profile enhances velocity and ballistic performance for 7.62x39mm loads, making it ideal for long-range precision or sustained fire scenarios.
