X-Bolt 2 Western Hunter LR

Description

Browning’s roots are deep in the American west, and we know what hunters in this vast expanse want in a big game hunting rifle. That’s why, when developing the X-Bolt 2 Western Hunter, we also knew the trail we needed to follow. The Western Hunter LR is built to be a tough, reliable, nimble rifle, capable of delivering a pinpoint shot across a canyon. It has all of the performance-driven features made famous by the X-Bolt, all rolled into a revised action with additional bolt guidance for smoother bolt operation. Optimized for long range accuracy, the lengths of the sporter contour barrels run 2″ longer than standard lengths (to a maximum of 26″) for added bullet velocities. The muzzle is belled to accommodate the larger 5/8″-24 suppressor-ready threading. A radial muzzle brake and thread protector cap are included, and an optional Browning Recoil Hawg Sporter muzzle brake for extra reduction in recoil can easily be added. The action is bedded, and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy. The barrel specifications make this rifle an excellent choice for both hunting and long-range practice sessions.
